THERE'S NO BUSINESS LIKE SHITMAT BUSINESS

So, man like Henry Collins absolutely killed it at the Toucan last night. Copyrights flaunted: Ace Of Base, Snow, The Stranglers ("Golden Brown/ Texture like SHIT"), whoever wrote the theme tunes to Indiana Jones and Thomas The Tank Engine, and many others beside. Thanks also to Underpass, John Barnes, Fumezombie, and Access Tonal Communications, all of whom are doing sterling work in the field of experimental electronica. Also to DJs C++, Max Rammage, and Beef Curtains, all of whom played music to suit both the gravity of the evening and the names they have chosen for themselves. And good vibes to Macka B, whose inspiring motivational message made the party go with a bang: "Have you heard the word?/Legalise the herb". Quite.

And that there's Jackie-O Motherfucker at Bristol's Cube Cinema a few night back. And that's all for now. Merry Christmas.

RETURN OF THE SHIT

OK, so Shitmat takes place in Cardiff's Toucan Club this Tuesday. Sadly Bristol's Parasite now won't be joining us but we're trying to sort out a replacement so bear with us on that one. It'll be great, anyway, and bring down a spare 3 quid if you can, because we'll have some copies of the new Plan B (featuring interviews with LCD Soundsystem, Kano, The Ex, and John Peel, and that's just for starters) for sale. There's a review of Lesson No.1's Zu show over there too.

Oh, and if you're on a junglist/dubstep tip, you might like to know there's some fine MP3s up for download over at Gutterbreakz. Our pleasure.
